The third installment of Saudi Arabia’s mega-conference, the Future Investment Initiative (FII) will kick off tomorrow October 29th at the Ritz Carlton in Riyadh.
The Kingdom is expecting to see over 6000 attendees with over 275 speakers from over 30 countries.

FII is billed as an international platform for expert-led debate between global leaders, investors and innovators with the power to shape the future of global investment. “It is focused on utilizing investment to drive growth opportunities, enable innovation and disruptive technologies, and address global challenges.The third edition of FII will continue building active, global networks of influential decision makers to explore the emerging industries that will shape the global economy and investment landscape over the coming decades,” the event’s website said.

The arrival of a large number of high-level business and financial leaders, as well as VIPs and “international public figures,” is indicative of the global business community’s willingness to move on after many did not attend the 2018 event after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul shocked many around the world.
Leading the high-profile attendees are Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro, guests of honor who are set to address the conference, according to reports. From the United States, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will lead a high-powered American delegation including Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s senior advisor and son-in-law.
Blackstone Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer Stephen Schwarzman and SoftBank Group Corp. founder Masayoshi Son are among scores of executives due to speak at the three-day event.
