The avenue is one of the most expensive streets in the capital.

Saudi Aramco said on Tuesday it had signed definitive agreements to acquire a 40% equity stake in Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd (GO), a diversified downstream fuels, lubricants, and convenience stores operator. The transaction is subject to certain customary conditions, including regulatory approvals, the Saudi oil giant said.

  • Saudi Industrial Production Index down 12.3% in October

    Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Production Index (IPI) fell by 12.3% year-on-year (YoY) in October 2023, extending its downtrend for the sixth successive month.  Data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed that Saudi IPI fell to 121.9 points in October, according to the base year 2010, compared to 139 points in the year-ago period.  Despite the continued increase in the manufacturing activity, and the electricity and gas supply activity, October’s decline in the mining and quarrying activity directly affected the general index due to its heavy weight in the index.

    A cargo ship broke down in Egypt's Suez Canal on Wednesday and crashed into a bridge over the crucial waterway, authorities said, adding that the incident did not disrupt traffic through the canal. Adm. Ossama Rabei, head of the Suez Canal Authority, said the Singapore-flagged One Orpheus went off course after its rudder broke down before ploughing into the Mansi Bridge, near the port city of Ismailia. The extent of the damage to both the ship and the bridge is unclear.
