• Saudi Arabia to place travel ban on those involved in commercial fraud

  The Saudi cabinet has issued a decison authorising the Public Prosecution to put a travel ban on those held on charges of fraud, pending a final court ruling. The move also stipulates that the Ministry of Interior, once a final judgment is issued convicting a non-Saudi of commercial fraud, shall deport the convict from the Kingdom and ban them from re-entering. This is in accordance with regulations set by the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Investment.

  Saudi Arabia has identified 59 initiatives to generate 143 billion Saudi riyals ($42 billion) of revenues (cumulatively) via asset sales and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) by 2025, according to a recently launched report titled "Privatisation Program 2025". The report was released last week by the National Centre for Privatisation & PPP (NCP), the Kingdom’s nodal agency for privatisation.

  Jeddah’s new King Abdulaziz International Airport led all other Saudi airports and ranked 50th globally, the World Airport Awards reported. King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh advanced 36 places to reach 58th spot, Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah moved up 16 places to 68th, and King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Dammam, ranked 87th.

• Saudi Arabia confirms 12 new COVID-19 deaths, 17 arrested for breaking quarantine rules

  Saudi Arabia recorded 12 new COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday, raising the total number of fatalities to 8,357. The Ministry of Health confirmed 864 new cases reported in the Kingdom in the previous 24 hours, meaning 535,176 people have now contracted the disease.
