US intelligence confirms Islamic State’s Afghanistan branch behind Iran blasts
Communications intercepts collected by the United States confirmed that Islamic State’s (ISIS) Afghanistan-based branch carried out twin bombings in Iran that killed nearly 100 people, two sources familiar with the intelligence told Reuters on Friday.
"The intelligence is clear-cut and indisputable," one source said.
That source and a second, both of whom requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive issue, said the intelligence comprised communications intercepts, without providing further details. The collection of the intercepts has not been previously reported.

Saudi Arabia launches 4 projects to generate 7,200 MW using carbon-capture tech
The Saudi Power Procurement Co. has invited bids for four independent power plant projects with a combined capacity of 7,200 megawatts. The company has specified that two of the projects, namely Rumah1 and Rumah2, are slated for the central region, while the remaining two, Nairyah1 and Nairyah2, will be situated in the eastern region of the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported. All these projects will have a capacity of 1,800 MW each and use natural gas combined-cycle technology, along with carbon capture.

Iran says at least 103 people killed, 141 wounded in blasts at ceremony honoring slain general
No group immediately claimed responsibility for what Iranian state media called a “terroristic" attack shortly after the blasts in Kerman, about 820 kilometers (510 miles) southeast of the capital, Tehran. While Israel has carried out attacks in Iran over its nuclear program, it has conducted targeted assassinations, not mass-casualty bombings. Egypt, Saudi developer ACWA Power invest over $4 billion to develop green hydrogen project
The project’s first phase will have a production capacity of 600,000 tons of green ammonia annually, Shaker revealed. The second phase will expand that number to two million tons per year, he added. For his part, Arcelli emphasized the project's significance, highlighting the role of green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, poised to experience tremendous demand in Europe and beyond.

An Abu Dhabi investor has bet $2.2 billion on Chinese EV maker Nio’s resurgence
Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio just got a $2.2 billion funding boost from Abu Dhabi–based CYVN, even as its stock struggles to breach the $10 mark.
CYVN, which pumped more than $1 billion into Nio back in July, bought 294 million shares at $7.50 each this time, Nio said in a statement. The latest infusion brings the Abu Dhabi investment vehicle’s stake in the EV manufacturer above 20%.

Saudi renewables developer ACWA Power has signed a framework agreement with the Egyptian government to develop a $4bn green ammonia facility in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
