Labour claims in Saudi Arabia – jurisdiction, process and timings
The new Labour Courts are a branch of the Court of First Instance and specialise in dealing with various labour disputes. They are scattered across the provinces and governorates of the Kingdom. According to the Ministry of Justice, there are seven Labour Courts across Riyadh, Damam, Makkah, Jeddah, Buraydah, Madines and Abha. In addition, there are also 27 Labour Circuits in various provinces and governorates, and nine Appeal Circuits in six Appeal Courts to review judgments issued by the First Instance Labour Courts.
