Israel is going into a second nationwide lockdown over Covid-19
Israel has approved a second general lockdown as coronavirus cases surge across the country. The lockdown, which is expected to start Friday afternoon, will see the country return to many of the same severe restrictions of the first lockdown back in April. Schools, restaurants (except delivery), and entertainment venues will all close, as well as other businesses, for an initial period of three weeks. The public sector will operate with a limited workforce, while private sector businesses can operate as long as non-employees do not enter the workspace.

Saudi Aramco slows diversification plans amid industry downturn: WSJ
Oil company Saudi Aramco is reviewing plans to expand at home and abroad in the face of sharply lower oil prices and a heavy dividend burden, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. Aramco will review a $6.6 billion plan to add petrochemical output at its Motiva refinery in Texas, as well as a big natural-gas project with Sempra Energy in the same state, according to the report. The value of Saudi Arabia’s June oil exports was down 55% year on year, a drop of $8.7 billion, official data showed on Wednesday. Compared with May, total exports - including non-oil exports of goods such as chemicals and plastics - grew by 19.1%, or $1.86 billion, the General Authority for Statistics said.
