Saudi Exports to Jordan Exceed $1.5 Bn in 5 Months
Saudi Arabia was the top importer of Jordanian exports, with a total value of $485.81 million during the first five months of 2023. The Kingdom was the first in the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA), followed by Iraq with about $287 million, the UAE with about $211 million, and Palestine with $138 million. According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics (Dos), Jordan's imports from Saudi Arabia amounted to approximately $1.53 billion, followed by the United Arab Emirates at about $505 million.

Jordan says sheep exports to Saudi Arabia resumed
Jordanian Minister of Agriculture Khalid Hneifat announced on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia has officially decided to lift the ban on Jordanian livestock exports. Hneifat noted that he values the response and direct cooperation from the Saudi side, which has a "positive" impact on the local sheep husbandry, according to a statement by the ministry. Jordan and Saudi Arabia announced on Monday that they agreed to improve passenger and freight flow between the two countries to facilitate transport and trade exchange, state-run Petra news agency reported. The announcement was made by the Jordanian-Saudi Joint Technical Committee for Land Transport at the conclusion of its meeting in Jordan's capital Amman. At the meeting, the committee discussed boosting road safety on the basis of technical conditions and pushing forward customs projects with technical connectivity between the two countries.

Israel, Jordan, Saudi join US bombers in show of force to Iran
Combat aircraft from Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia flew alongside US B1 bombers over the Middle East on Thursday in the Pentagon’s latest display of force directed at Iran. Aircraft from five Middle Eastern militaries linked up with a pair of US Air Force B1-B Lancers as they transited the Persian Gulf region after having been launched from the UK, US military officials said. The demonstration culminated with the American bombers dropping live munitions at training ranges in Saudi Arabia and Jordan before flying back to base in Spain. The B-1Bs dropped "multiple" air-launched AGM-158A JASSM cruise missiles and 550-pound GBU-38 bombs on “multiple simulated targets” during the mission, a defense official told Al-Monitor.
