    Awarded public contracts in Saudi Arabia jumped by nearly 35 percent in 2022 to one of its highest levels in recent years, according to a local report.   • Sudan crisis: Saudi Arabia to host first talks between warring military factions

    The rival military factions fighting for control in Sudan are to hold face-to-face talks for the first time since fighting began last month. The meeting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is aimed at ending the unrest and will take place in the Saudi city of Jeddah, according to Saudi Arabia and the United States. Clashes began on April 15 and since then a series of truces have collapsed. Saudi Arabia and the US have welcomed the start of the “pre-negotiation” discussions, to take place on Saturday, and called on both factions to “actively engage in the talks towards a ceasefire and end to the conflict.”

In a statement to the Saudi stock exchange, Alkhorayef Water said the 15-year contracts are worth 1.62 billion Saudi riyals ($431.84 million).

  • Diriyah Gate-Binyah contract worth $145m awarded in Saudi Arabia

    Yet another Diriyah Gate-Binyah contract has been confirmed in Saudi Arabia this week. Saudi Real Estate Company’s (Al Akaria) said its subsidiary Saudi Real Estate Infrastructure Company (Binyah) has been awarded a $145 million Diriyah Gate Company contract to design, construct, test and commission the Northern Cultural District’s P3 car park project.
