The plan is designed to preserve rights of parties to the contractual relationship, provide a stable labour environment conducive for the employee’s productivity increase and boosting the job market in the kingdom.

  • UN says starvation imminent in Gaza, no let-up in Israeli assault

U.N. aid deliveries to Gaza were suspended again on Friday due to shortages of fuel and a communications shutdown, deepening the misery of thousands of hungry and homeless Palestinians as Israeli troops battled Hamas militants in the enclave.

The United Nations' World Food Programme (WFP) said civilians faced the "immediate possibility of starvation" due to the lack of food supplies.

  • The Saudis Are Building Their Own Lavish Private Island Fit For a Prince

Saudi Arabia announced Thuwal Private Retreat, an ultra-luxurious and likely ultra-secretive private island along its Red Sea coast. Promised as a place of “indulgence” the island opens next year, available for total buy-outs only. The retreat is being developed by Red Sea Global, the same company behind the multi-billion-dollar tourism projects The Red Sea and Amaala, also on the Red Sea coast. Unlike those projects, however, which will have close to 100 hotels between them, Thuwal Private Retreat will be very intimate. The 1.7-hectare sandy islet will have a main three-bedroom villa, three one- bedroom suites, a beach club, gym and wellness center. Unlike Amaala and The Red Sea, there will be no third parties involved. Red Sea Global will develop and manage the site.

  • Innovation in Saudi Arabia: Beyond Design Thinking

Saudi Arabia has its own way of doing things, and that's important. We're talking about a High Context Culture (HCC). Design Thinking understands this: it's about thinking about what people really want and need, while respecting the Saudi way of life. But put the boss in the same room as his employees at a workshop, and everyone will expect and follow the boss's ideas, finding justifications for his ideas and approaches. The same will happen if the person is the oldest member of the team, the one with the highest academic title, or the one with the most respected surname. The simple application of Design Thinking workshop models does not work here.

  • Disrupting Saudi-Israel ties may have motivated Hamas attack, Blinken says
