    Global pizza company Domino’s has reached 600 stores in MENA and Pakistan. It was only in March 2022 thatthe pizza chain pushed past 500 stores in the region. The company’s growth has been primarily led by its master franchisee, Alamar Foods. Chiefs from both Domino’s global and Alamar Foods convened at store number 600, located in Dubai’s Mirdif area, to celebrate the milestone.

    Saudi utility firm ACWA Power has signed power purchase agreements with the Water and Electricity Holding Co. to develop the biggest solar plant of its kind in the Middle East, with capacity to power 350,000 homes. The 2,060 MW solar photovoltaic plant will be built in Al Shuaibah, Makkah province and is expected to begin commercial operations by the fourth quarter of 2025.

    Children in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region experience bullying more than other parts of the world, according to a study carried out by Cartoon Network in partnership with YouGov as part of the network's annual Buddy Network campaign. More than half of parents polled in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt said their child experienced bullying, the majority of which occurred at school.

  • Saudi Arabia to Host MENA’s Largest Cybersecurity Event

    Saudi Arabia will host the international Black Hat event in mid-November, the largest cybersecurity event in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), bringing together the most important cybersecurity experts worldwide. The event is organized in cooperation between the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones (SAFCSP) and Informa Tech, in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), as part of the Riyadh Season 2022 activities. The three-day event starts on Nov. 15 at the Riyadh Front Center.
