Saudi Arabia will be the location of a next-generation, ultra-sustainable getaway from Collective Retreats that promises to “reimagine the meaning of outdoor hospitality.” Being developed in partnership with NEOM, the property will be located in the snowcapped mountains of Northwestern Saudi Arabia and is expected to open at the beginning of 2026. When complete, Collective Trojena will feature 60 open-air guest rooms, as well as meeting spaces, dramatic water features, communal campfires, and even “fire-inspired culinary experiences.”

Saudi ACWA Power signs $8.5bln financing for NEOM green hydrogen project
Saudi Arabian utility developer ACWA Power, partly owned by the sovereign Public Investment Fund, has signed financing agreements for a total investment of $8.5 billion for the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project (NGHP), which is expected to be commissioned in 2026. The investment funded by a combination of long-term debt and equity was agreed with NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), a joint venture between ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM Company, with ACWA Power holding a 33.3% equity stake, the utility said in a statement on Riyadh's Tadawul exchange on Wednesday.

Israel arrests suspects in settler rampage described by general as ‘pogrom’
Police have arrested six suspects over a settler rampage in the occupied West Bank earlier this week that an Israeli general described as a "pogrom" and which followed a deadly Palestinian gun attack. A Palestinian gunman killed two Israeli brothers on Sunday as they were driving in the occupied West Bank, prompting attacks by Israeli settlers on houses and cars during which one Palestinian was killed, officials say.

Yemen’s Hodeidah receives first ship carrying general cargo in years amid truce push
A container ship carrying general commercial goods docked at Yemen's main port of Hodeidah for the first time since at least 2016 on Saturday as parties in Yemen's eight-year war are in talks to reinstate an expired U.N.-brokered truce deal. The conflict, which pits a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia against the Iran-aligned Houthi group, has divided Yemen and caused a humanitarian crisis that has left 80% of the 30 million population needing help.
