    Saudi Arabia is seeking $20 billion in investments in the food industry by 2035, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources announced Monday.     The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed over 282 tons of food aid in six countries across the world, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Syrian and Palestinian refugees living across Lebanon received 174 tons of food. In Senegal, 19 tons of food aid were distributed to 285 disadvantaged families in the Waakem region of Dakar while in Bangladesh, 24 tons of food baskets were given to 6,000 people. KSrelief also provided over 32 tons of food to 3,000 people in Chad and 29.8 more tons to 3,100 people in need in Niger.

    Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) signed agreements and memorandums of understanding to localize food and beverage industry in Saudi Arabia with investments up to SR1 billion and SR69 million, while revealing the increase of food factories to 1,171 factory with total areas of approximately 10 million m2 by the end of 2022.
