Saudi Arabia’s Nitaqat Initiatives Helped Employ 500k Nationals Since 2019, Minister Says

The ongoing localization efforts in Saudi Arabia have helped provide job opportunities to over 500,000 Saudi nationals in the private sector since 2019, the Kingdom’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmad Al-Rajhi revealed.

Al-Rajhi’s comments were made on the sidelines of the Saudi Economic Association Conference and reported in Arab News.

New initiatives related to labor market strategy will be rolled out in the Kingdom by 2025, the Minister added.

The Minister also noted that the goals set for women’s empowerment initiatives, which were scheduled for 2025, were achieved in 2022.

Earlier in February, Saudi Cabinet approved the framework for granting incentives for localizing priority goods and services under the Vision 2030 strategy.
