Sports Diplomacy in the Middle East: King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies to Host Live Broadcast May 19th

The King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) will host a live broadcast on Tuesday, May 19th at 3:00pm Washington, D.C. time (10:00 pm in Riyadh) on Sports Diplomacy in the Middle East, featuring speakers HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, president of the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS).

The event will take place on YouTube at the channel at this link.

The live broadcast will be moderated by the U.S. State Department’s Joshua Yaphe, Arabian Peninsula Analyst.

Other speakers include Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, managing director of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, Mark Clark, CEO of Generations for Peace, Kemp Gouldin, Founder of Because Baseball, Ryan Murphy, Middle East Expert at the U.S. State Department’s Office of Sports Diplomacy, and Hozaifa Al-Maleh, former member of the Syrian national basketball team.

KFCRIS provides a platform that encourages original research, independent thinking and informed debate.

The event is hosted in cooperation with the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations.
